Despite the constantly growing capabilities of the PC, it is no longer enough for representatives of many professions to have only one screen with data in the workplace. Knowing this, computer manufacturers are actively creating computers with two or even three displays, but this is not the limit. British company Expanscape announced the development of a seven-screen laptop - Aurora 7.
Thus, the previous 2017 record of Valerie Razer's Project laptop with three 17-inch screens has been more than doubled.
In the "arsenal" Aurora 7 four main 17-inch monitors with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and three 7-inch auxiliary ones with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. There is also a mini-display in the lower right corner of the control panel that displays user-generated content and system status information.
Expanscape said Aurora 7 is targeted at IT security professionals, data scientists and content creators. It can be equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 3950X or Intel Core i9-10900k processor, 64GB DDR4-2666 memory, GeFofce GTX 1060 graphics card, two PCIe 3.0 x 4 M. 2 SSDs, one 2.5-inch MLC SSD and hard drive 2TB 7200RPM.
The power of the laptop is provided by the main battery with 82 Wh and the auxiliary battery, designed exclusively for screens, with a capacity of 148 Wh. The energy reserves should be sufficient for approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes for all displays.
The company has already informed potential buyers that the Aurora 7 will go on sale only after development is completed. Then the price will become known. It is not worth hoping that the seven-screen laptop will be average in price.
