First curved OLED TV kicks off in US

LG recently launched the world's first curved TV called LG Curved Oled TV. Residents of the United States were the first to purchase the new product.

So far, you can buy a new TV only in the retail network of the largest American retailer Best Buy. The retail price of the novelty is 15 thousand US dollars.

For the first time this TV was presented at the consumer electronics exhibition CES 2013, which took place in early January 2013 in Las Vegas. It is equipped with a 55-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 3D support. LG CURVED OLED TV is equipped with Wi-Fi module, webcam and USB and HDMI ports. In addition, support for Smart TV and NFC technology is announced. Interestingly, the set comes with 4 pairs of glasses for 3D viewing.

By the way, according to forecasts of experts from the analytical agency DisplaySearch, by 2016 the supply of OLED TVs will grow to 7 million units per year.
