Civil society found itself defenseless against drones with weapons

The incident involving the assassination of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro with explosives-equipped multicopters set off a wave of controversy. And it's not about what exactly happened in Caracas, whether the terrorist apparatus was there or the authorities shot down their own, out of order. It could even be a multi-step game of the special services, but the main question is how civilians can resist a drone used as a weapon?

The experience of the war in Syria has shown that it is possible to kill people using conventional, commercial UAVs in an almost endless list of ways. Yes, even if you throw ordinary stones from the sky, it will hit your head and will not seem a little. But in Syria, the most dangerous flying machines unceremoniously shoot down the Russian Pantsiri-C1, others are destroyed by small arms, as the Venezuelan sniper did. However, it is foolish to believe that an ordinary policeman with a service pistol will succeed in the same thing.

So let's jam their radio control channels with a wide front! It is impossible, people in cities will be left without communication. Creating no-fly zones and registering their coordinates in the drone software? Hacking electronics is easy. The trained eagles of the Dutch police have also proved to be ineffective, drone projects of "drone hunters" do not have a benefit compared to a regular police sniper. A ban on the sale of heavy vehicles to civilians? A pound of toxins is enough to poison an entire stadium, if a professional gets down to business.

So far, oddly enough, the easiest thing to do with this is in Russia - here everything that weighs more than 250 grams has no right to fly without the permission of the authorities. Law enforcement agencies are equally aggressive and suspicious of all drones and their owners, which is difficult to imagine in a democratic Western society. Although annoying media drones are calmly being shot down there, justifying this with security issues. But what is allowed to the special services is inaccessible to civilians and the police. And how can you protect yourself in such conditions?
